The internet has been wonderful for both discovering and preserving images from the past -
it's not always the same for what I call 'lost' sound recordings - everyone goes for the flashy pictures it seems!
Recently I came across an old acetate recording of pioneer aviatrix Amy Johnson talking about flying her DH Moth 'Jason' from England to Australia - she really does not sound how I was expecting her to!
